TD 2025

Revamp

After the 2020 Telediario rebrand and On-air applications, RTVE requested a brand evolution, emphasizing screen language. Beyond intros and intermediate elements, they wanted somehow, their brand present in the visual language used to illustrate the different news and stories displayed on its large 31-meter set screen.

We determined the evolution of the language and attributes already created for TD 2025 with a new staging of its main title sequence, which will guide all the changes to be made in the other pieces. Subsequently, a new color palette was established—broader and with different uses—to achieve greater flexibility when developing the narrative language, both for program graphics and for the screens. A big leap from flat to 3D environment was also a must chosen by RTVE.

Our main task in this project was to standardize the entire image of RTVE’s Telediarios newscasts, achieving a strong and consistent brand image across all the formats used in these news programs.

The adoption of graphic elements inherent to the TD title sequence was the first step in creating a toolkit as homogeneous as possible, allowing graphic editors to compose their news stories within a common space.

All these changes were made taking into account the new stage and lighting design, also using generic TD brand backgrounds—special pieces derived from the overall look and feel.
