Representing the flow of information through graphical resources that help us depict the vibrant ebb and flow of news in a 24/7 environment. The constant exchange of informational inputs finds its expression in a two-dimensional setting, with continuous changes.
That is the starting point that will define all the development of creativity applied to the entire system. Besides that, our client wanted us to give a touch that could somehow remember the look and feel already achieved in previous Telediario, RTVE's flagship news program.
A dynamic channel with hourly news bulletins plus connections with the main channel La 1 for airing
simultaneously Telediario and other special events, drove our first stage for crafting the main intros and sections that contains pretty much all the look and feel of the channel. Timezone roulette, adaptations for weather, sports and economics info, all wrapped around with channel Ids and special programs for Parlament and Senate.
Besides the main ticket, 24h has its own shows / programs focused on different themes all wrapped around the information world. Talk shows, dedicated regional programs, debates, special events and others. These shows are not secheduled on a daily basis, being a weekly air the most common, with their logical repetitions along the rundown of the channel.
The principal goal was to maintain the brand through the entire ecosystem of different programs, using all key graphic elements to compose the various layouts for more than 14 shows. For all these shows, as well as for the main ones, we did not only produce intros, sweeps, original music, etc, but also tailored an extensive toolkit for developing all sorts of pieces necessary for running them with their own particularities.
La Noche, a late night talk show is one of the most outstanding and distinguished programs of the rundown. We played around with lights and dark environments to adapt the key graphic elements, giving it all a special night touch.
Considering that navigation was going to remain the same as in the "old channel", we had to customize the new look and feel to the brand new screen system that was placed on a new set. Generic screens for News shows and specific ones were also composed for thematic programs. It all led also to redifine explainers, both for program and for screen purposes. All tempaltes, full customizable.
The 24h project has been a true challenge to our commitment to creativity and innovation in News broadcasting design. Crafting over 200 unique items, from captivating visuals to original music, we've pushed boundries to seek new graphic languages. It's a milestone in our journey, delivering excellence in every aspect of media strategy and design. We love it!
